Meet the Optometrist

Dr. Burd has always wanted to be in the medical field. But most medical professions took up too much time for her to pursue her other dream: building a family. After some research, Dr. Burd learned that Optometry will allow her the opportunity to chase both dreams. So she enrolled at the Missouri State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She followed up by receiving her O.D. from Indiana School of Optometry in 2009. She is a proud member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society.

Dr. Burd has been practicing Optometry for the last fourteen years. She specializes in contact lenses, management of ocular disease, and services patients age 6 months – 100 years old.

Dr. Burd is also a member of Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce, St Joseph Catholic Church, the Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity, a founding member of the Energeyes Vision Association, and a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa.

When not helping people see better, she spends time with her husband and three children, and enjoys gardening and sewing.
